Whether it's one of our in-stock radiators or one of yours,
you can be guaranteed our restoration work is to the highest
specifications and standard. Our tried and trusted restoration
process includes the following:
All
of the old radiator valves, plugs & fittings are removed.
- The radiator is sand blasted back to bare cast iron.
- The radiator is visually inspected for any signs of
obvious damage. Providing the radiator passes this inspection,
the plugs and fittings are replaced to the customer's
requirements.
- The radiator is coated in a suitable primer.
- It is then hydraulically pressure tested to 10 bar/140
p.s.i. for 12 hours.
- The radiator is finish painted to the customer's specification.
(We do require a relevant paint code / Ral No. in order
to match your chosen colours.) Alternatively we can hand
polish the bare cast iron radiator to a high
pewter finish.
